Seared Steak Salad with Blue Cheese

  • Baby Lettuce

  • Bavette Steak

  • Blue Cheese Dressing

    3 ounce

  • Mini Cucumber

    1 unit

  • Bold & Savory Steak Spice

    ½ tablespoon

  • Tomato

  • Crispy Fried Onions

  • Mixed Greens

    2 ounce

  • Salt

    1 teaspoon (tsp)

  • Cooking Oil

    1 teaspoon (tsp)

  • Black Pepper

    1 teaspoon (tsp)

Cooking steps

  • Pat steak* dry with paper towels; season with half the Steak Spice (all for 4 servings) and salt.

  • Heat a drizzle of oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add steak; cook to desired doneness, 5-7 minutes per side.

  • Transfer to a cutting board.

  • While steak cooks, wash and dry produce.

  • Trim and discard root end from lettuce; chop leaves into bite-size pieces. Dice tomato. Trim and halve cucumber lengthwise; thinly slice into ¼-inch-thick half-moons.

  • Lightly crush croutons in their bag.

  • In a large bowl, toss together lettuce, mixed greens, tomato, cucumber, croutons, and as much dressing as you like. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  • Thinly slice steak against the grain.

  • Divide salad between bowls and top with steak. Sprinkle with crispy fried onions and serve.
